THE ART OF GIVING

THE ART OF GIVING: Thanks for stopping by and getting involved in this great opportunity. In starting off the new year, Christine and I decided to put together a challenge blog that would not only provide you with inspiration and free goodies, but to also let you know about the many ways we can "PAY IT FORWARD" to others in our lives...in simple and GIGANTIC ways. We hope that in combining both inspiration and giving to others, we can all make this world a better place, one layout, card, and gesture at a time. Thank you for taking this journey with us.

Dear Ol' Dad contest

Sunday, June 14, 2009

Well Father's day is fast approaching. It is time to show our gratitude to the special men in our lives. Our own fathers, our children's fathers, fatherly figures...all of them. They play a special part in our lives and bring joy to many of us.

Our challenge is sponsored by the one and only lovely Jennifer McGuire from Hero Arts. Go by her blog and check out all the fabulous things that this giving and creative genius creates. You won't be disappointed!

The challenge is a simple one. Make a layout, project or a card all about/for our special guys. It can be a layout of a father with a child, a father's day card, a layout all about dad, a gift that you are making for dad..whatever works. Surprise us! This challenge starts today June 14th and end on June 28th. Winners will be announced on June 29th! This only is a 2 week challenge so hurry and get the goods in fast! ;0)

Link the project here and tell us what you are doing/or did to celebrate father's day. Three lucky winners will be selected! And here is what you could win :0)

Easy enough right? So have at it!

I made 2 cards for our fathers. I have yet to make one for my husband. We don't live near our dad's so we will celebrate my husband. Its tradition that I make him an M & M bow tie for church. We will probably just hang around the house pampering him with love and a nice dinner.
    Here's my card:

We had a very low key fathers day. When it cooled down in the evening, dh and the boys went fishing down at the pond. Here is the Word Book I made for him for fathers day.

I had a busy father's day, like every holiday. First we celebrated with DH, then with my family, then with his family.

here is a page that I made about my grandfather.
