THE ART OF GIVING

THE ART OF GIVING: Thanks for stopping by and getting involved in this great opportunity. In starting off the new year, Christine and I decided to put together a challenge blog that would not only provide you with inspiration and free goodies, but to also let you know about the many ways we can "PAY IT FORWARD" to others in our lives...in simple and GIGANTIC ways. We hope that in combining both inspiration and giving to others, we can all make this world a better place, one layout, card, and gesture at a time. Thank you for taking this journey with us.

March is National Craft Month and we need to get busy!

Sunday, March 7, 2010

Hey Scrappy friends being that March is National Craft month. I think that we should do something about it! I know many of us craft for our own reasons. Sometimes because it is an artistic outlet, sometimes to preserve family memories and sometimes out of necessity or it is a simplre stress reliever. This month why don't we all make something for someone special and share our spectacular crafty goodness!  This will also come along with an extra bounus..YES IT'S TRUE!!

If you were reading last week I said that there would be a surprise and I meant it!
So here it is people....Scrap it Forward is having a call..yes we are ..for two Guest Designers!  How do you enter...? EASY...just play along with us and participate in this challenge.  Make something for someone, be it a mini book, a scrapbook page, an altered item or card...WHATEVER. It just has to be crafty.  Then once you have made something that you feel good about, leave us a comment and link your creation in your post. The Guest Designer Spots will be for a 3 month run! So please only play along if you are down with that ;0).  We would love to have you join us!
This challenge will run until the end of the month....that is Wednesday March 31.  Winners will be announced on April 2nd.

Here are our creations for this challenge:
Christine's Crafty things:

Illyse's Crafty things:

So what's in it for you?
*Well first of all you will be working with a fun and happy bunch (okay well maybe not a bunch since there are only 2 of us on here, but you get the picture) who are crafty and care about making a difference in our world day to day.
*Not only that, you will get exposure to all our other peeps in blogland and the WWW.
* You will get a shiny Blog Button to put on your blog that says:  I was a GDT at Scrap it Forward.
* Last you will get a small rak from me that you will be able to use on any of your upcoming challenges.
What are our expectations?
* Place the blog button on your blog proudly and promote our latest challenges online or wherever it may be appropriate...we are ging to rule out bathroom walls and locker rooms...but that's about it.
*Participate in all challenges during your reign..(there will be approximately 5-6 of them)
*Feel free to share ideas for new challenges and/or charitible causes.
* Send in challenge projects 3-4 days before next challenges are posted.
*Have fun!
So now spread the word and start getting crafty.  We can't wait to see the goodies that come in!

(((Take care and big hugs)))
Christine
