In starting off the new year, Christine and I decided to put together a challenge blog that would not only provide you with inspiration and free goodies, but to also let you know about the many ways we can "PAY IT FORWARD" to others in our lives...in simple and GIGANTIC ways. We hope that in combining both inspiration and giving to others, we can all make this world a better place, one layout, card, and gesture at a time. Thank you for taking this journey with us.

The big news is Here!!! Woohoo People!!!! Thanks for the great response..you were all holding out I see and you made our job so tough ya know! ugh!  I tell you it wasn't easy!  There are just so many talented friends out there!  Oh my goodness.

So..Illyse and I gabbed a lot..talked a bit..cried, ate chocolate, I waved my hands in the air a bit, we wished that we could take all of you, and then we settled back down and rejoined reality. Although..we did shake it it up just a bit and if you are wondering how, I am going to tell you right now. We didn't choose 2 girls like we said we would. We chose 3.  But not like you are thinking....
We chose 2 Challenge Designers to work along side us and then we decided to mix it up a bit and have a new kind of a feature on our blog in between challenges.  Yep..we are going to have our own Tutorial Crafty Teacher kinda of a gal on here. We just need to come up with a cute name for her.  She will give Step by step "Crafty How to's" on the blog.  Won't that be fun!  Yay!

April is Autism Awareness month.  Autism has touched my life.  My son, Adam, has Asperger's syndrome, which is a high functioning form of Autism. Every year we walk for Autism Speaks and raise $ and awareness for the cause. This year I explained to him a bit more about his autism and how it made him so special. The symbol of Autism is a puzzle piece, the catch phrase is..."find the missing piece". The reason behind this is because there is still so much more to be learned about autism and not much is known about what causes autism. 
Your challenge this month is to make a  Layout, card, altered item or whatever you may desire.... and include PUZZLE PIECES IN IT .  The other part of your challeng is to simply add this...link  http://www.autismspeaks.org/ to your blog, read about it and learn.  Maybe you will want to join a walk or contribute to one.  Here is our walk page if you want to join our team, "WE CAN".  You can even be a "virtual walker"!   http://www.walknowforautismspeaks.org/faf/donorReg/donorPledge.asp?ievent=327446&supid=282386722

    what an awesome challenge! i have been posting things for autism awareness as well-i am an at home aba behavior therapist (p/t on wknds) and think your challenge is just fabulous!
